Business Development & Licensing Manager
The primary purpose of the BD&L (Business Development & Licensing) Director - Innovation, is to lead the global identification, negotiation, and management of collaborative arrangements with partner companies and suppliers to create a portfolio of new product and business opportunities designed to deliver superior long-term performance in sales growth, market share and new product pipeline valuation in all markets.
- Lead search and initial review of acquisitions, alliances, collaboration and licensing opportunities.
- Lead initial analysis and evaluation of business opportunities; including key deal drivers, risks and opportunities.
- Prepare business case and financial valuations in alignment with guidelines as set forth by Global BU (Business Unit) and Corporate.
- Lead negotiation strategy recommendation and negotiation process to close deals with the most favorable terms.
- Be the champion for licensing opportunities, externally, or internally within BU, and ensure buy-in from the GMs and other stakeholders.
- Build up a network of suppliers, new technology developers, as well as entrepreneurial and new venture contacts.
