Position Description:

You will be responsible for managing a team to provide: 

  • Project-based decision support – research and business analytics to structure, inform, and drive critical business decisions within divisions and at the corporate level. 
  • Marketing excellence – developing and implementing processes, tools, best practices, and training to improve marketing performance.

You will actively manage a portfolio of projects in collaboration with the businesses and senior management to maximize business impact. 

You will be responsible for: 

  • Working closely with the appropriate franchise teams (VPs, GMs, Presidents and other functions) to design, execute, and interpret a portfolio of market research and strategic projects that will contribute to high impact commercial strategies and impact critical commercial decisions. 
  • Serving as an expert on the methodologies and processes for assessing the marketplace. These may include identifying growth opportunities, diagnosing customer needs and behavior, understanding competitive dynamics and advantage, and measuring market trends. 
  • Developing marketing strategy processes, such as the Integrated Marketing Business Plan (IMBP). 
  • Building effective working relationships between marketing science, franchise teams, and other functions. 
  • Prioritizing key business needs/projects and proactively identifying new areas to add value. 
  • Ensuring high quality and impact of projects. 
  • Ensuring that staff is hired, trained, developed/coached, and incented to meet business objectives efficiently and effectively. 

These activities will require: 

  • Strong relationship development/collaboration with brand marketing resources, as well as a broad set of other stakeholders across the company. 
  • Development and implementation of structured, practical, fact-based approach to strategy development, valuation, and business plans. 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills. 
  • Integration of broad corporate/divisional business performance needs into franchise level decision-making. 
  • Collaboration with marketing and sales to ensure tactics are clearly linked to strategy, and creatively developed with overall corporate strategy.
  • Excellent project management.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills including developing relationships at all levels in an organization and indirectly influencing business objectives 

Candidate Profile:

Experience planning and managing a portfolio of projects in the healthcare industry in one of the following functions required: consulting, marketing, market research or business development. 

  • Experience must include people management and development.
  • Experience in building and executing multi-faceted, long-term, strategic plans based on business challenges. 
  • Successful leadership, project management and mentoring experiences.
